What is CBD (cannabidiol)?

CBD, or cannabidiol, is derived from the hemp plant, a distant cousin of the marijuana plant. It is made from a cannabis compound called cannabidiol that is found in all cannabis plants. The compound interacts with the body through the endocannabinoid system, which is the system that regulates the bodies normal homeostasis. As the environment around us affects our body’s normal state of balance, the endocannabinoid system keeps our bodies leveled.

Will CBD make me high?

No, CBD does not contain the psychoactive component, THC, that is found & most commonly associated with marijuana. Therefore, the “high” feeling marijuana causes isn’t associated with CBD. The maximum amount of THC included in industrial hemp extract cannot exceed .3 percent. This creates an end-product that is over 99 percent pure CBD.

How do I take CBD?

There are a variety of ways to take CBD. You can ingest under the tongue with a tincture (oil) or edibles that include gummies, treats, included in food or capsules. It may be used as a topical ointment in the form of a cream, salve, lotion or even facial masks. Lastly, it can be inhaled in the form of vaping.

Is CBD safe?

The simple answer is yes. You can request Certificates of Analysis for the products you are buying from reputed companies like CBD Mind & Body. The hemp plant is grown naturally and organically avoiding the use of pesticides and other harmful chemicals. CBD is non-addictive & you can’t overdose on these products. Will CBD cause me to fail a drug test?

If you get a full spectrum CBD product that includes up to .3% THC, you could fail a drug test. We offer Broad Spectrum CBD as well that contains zero THC, and will allow you to pass a drug test. Currently there are many states that aren’t testing for THC due to new state laws. Drug testing for THC only shows that THC is detected in your blood stream, not the amount of THC. This has put many states in limbo, per say, in regards to drug testing for marijuana.

The reason there is a variety in the cost of CBD products is based off the extraction method, amount of CBD in the product, as well as the quantity included in the product. To simplify, a 250 mg CBD tincture in a 30 ML bottle will be less a 1500 mg CBD tincture in a 30 ML bottle.
